Tests App ‘Bussle’

Dear,

We inform you that TEISA implements the Bussle App, a tool that promotes sustainable mobility in public bus transport among people with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and other cognitive difficulties.

This project, which operates on the intercity bus lines of the city of Girona managed by TEISA (L3, L4, L6 and L9), puts innovation at the service of groups that need it so that they have greater autonomy, social integration and equal opportunities.

The difficulties faced by people with ASD, including the use of public transport, may vary over the course of their development, and with appropriate intervention, those related to behavior may improve significantly. Precisely, Bussle's objective is to intervene in those aspects that hinder the use of public transport in order to increase their autonomy.

According to data from the Departament de Treball, Afers Socials i Famílies de la Generalitat, it is estimated that in Catalunya there are 68,780 people with recognized intellectual disabilities and between 77,000 and 150,000 who are potential users with ASD. Therefore, we are talking about a high volume of people who can benefit from the App, especially if we add all the families around this group. In fact, from Bussle the tutors of people with ASD are also taken into account so that they can follow up.

OPERATION OF THE APP:

The Bussle App user can create new routes by entering the point of origin (by default it will be the current location, with the option to modify it) and the destination address. You will also be able to manage and delete existing routes. For everything to work correctly, it is essential that the user provide the geolocation permission.

Once the route has started, the App will automatically track the trip through the user's real-time location.

In the event of alteration of any of the planned processes, such as the user going astray, the assistance screen will be activated in the form of a pictogram in the foreground and they will have the option of recalculating the route from their current position or calling the tutor.

Regardless of whether the user needs assistance, the tutor will be able to know at all times what the user's position is through the Management Web Panel, which will allow him to locate him in an emergency.
